Laborer, Handroller (1H)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Shovels asphalt.
Cleans job site with sweepers and hand tools.
Assists spreader operator with cleaning of spreader(s).
May assist with duties in other classifications as a function of on-the-job training using rakes, shovels, mobile brooms, road sweeper, tamper plate and buster.
Checks vehicle(s) prior to driving and completes vehicle checklists.
Follows DOT, OSHA and Company safety regulations and policies.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:
Reading:
Ability to read, write and complete equipment reports.
Licenses:
Valid license and favorable traffic abstract preferred.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Other:
Ability to work as a team member.
OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
Ability to obtain security clearances within the initial 90-day introductory period and maintain eligibility for all clearances.
We primarily employ carpenters, laborers, and operating engineers.
We are signatory to collective bargaining agreements with the following unions listed below and are subject to the hiring rules of each collective bargaining agreement.
We anticipate hiring for projects on Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai as work becomes available and will be contacting the respective union to fill these positions:
Operating Engineers Local Union No.
3 This is a union position.
Selected candidate will be asked to join the Operating Engineer's union prior to starting work.
